Jose Jabdier Diaz, 21, of York, was arrested in the 100 block of North George Street on Dec. 9, according to police and court documents.
Diaz was apprehended in connection with two robberies, the first of which occurred at the Smoke and Chill located at 100 East Princess Street in York on Dec. 5, according to police.
Diaz was also wanted for an armed robbery at Rod’s Corner Store located 161 East Philadelphia Street on Dec. 9, according to the release.
Diaz has been charged with the following, according to his court docket:
- F1 Robbery-Threat Immediate Serious Injury (2 Counts)
- F1 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause Serious Bodily Injury or
- causes injury with extreme indifference (2 Counts)
- M3 Simple Assault
- M1 Possession Of Firearm Prohibited
- F1 Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Property
- M3 Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Property
He was released from the York County Prison on a 10 percent cash payment towards $500,000, according to court documents.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge Ronald J. Haskell Jr. on Dec. 23 at 9 a.m., according to his court docket.
